Really there isn't anything that I am not thankful for...From my 1st cup of coffee in the morning, to the warm bed i get to sleep in everynight, and all the things inbetween, my children, my grandchildren, my ageing parents who are still going strong, my husband who works so hard for us,the roof over our heads, the food that i get to prepare and eat everyday.(i have a few extra lbs to prove it). the water i can drink the internet i can access, everything, everyday...We don't have much, but grateful for what we have, so many do not...thank you for your blog and the many others i see everyday, it inspires me to make that cookbook i always wanted to make for my grandaughter.

This year has been one of the most trying years of my and my familys life. I'm the Mom of 5 grown children, and 7 grandchildren, soon to be 8. I"m on 54. Last Sept I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer that has spread to my bones and was told I had 6 to 12 months to live. Needless, to say, I'm VERY thankful that I'm still here one year later, with my family, making memories as best as I can and currently stable.
