I love this dessert. Apples, cinnamon, and sugary oats over a flaky pie crust. Mmmmm. It screams Fall! I've been making this for years and it's always a crowd pleaser. As it bakes, the aroma of cinnamon and apples fills my house. It makes me feel all warm and cozy inside : ) This yummy dessert HAS to be served with ice cream. It's a must!
Apple Crisp Pizza
12 servings
Pastry for single-crust pie ( 9 inches )
2/3 cup Sugar
3 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon
4 medium Red Delicious Apples, peeled and diced into 1/4 inch pieces
TOPPING:
1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/3 cup packed Brown Sugar
1/3 cup Rolled Oats
1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon
1/4 cup Butter, softened
1/2 cup Caramel topping
Roll pastry to fit a 12 inch pizza pan; fold under or flute the edges. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Add peeled, diced apples and toss. Arrange the apples in a single layer over the pie crust to completely cover it.
Combine the first 5 topping ingredients in a bowl and then sprinkle evenly over the apples.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove from oven and immediately drizzle with caramel topping. Cut into pizza slices and serve warm with ice cream!

I made this awesome pizza this week and it's our new favorite dessert! Unbelievably good! I posted it on my blog today: http://www.edesiasnotebook.com/2012/09/caramel-apple-crisp-pizza.html Thank you so much for this great recipe!
Holly,
I made this and hope you don't mind if I post it on my blog. One question though...the instructions say to dice the apples which is what I did but yours looks much flatter than mine. Did you slice the apples not dice them?
Christy- I do actually dice mine really small, but I see what you mean... My picture doesn't even look like there's apples in it!
I am so happy you shared it on your blog :) I think I've shared about a million of your recipes on mine. Ha
I've been making this as an apple pie since I found your recipe last year, and it's always a huge hit! I just use a pie tin and follow the instructions exactly, and the topping becomes more of a crumb topping rather than a traditional pie shell. I also slice the apples rather than dice, but otherwise the same. The flavor is awesome and it's a nice change from the traditional apple pie! Thanks for being my autumn go-to dessert ;)
